Thanks for the referral. Does she live in LIthuania and just traveling to workshops now in the US? I'll hold on to her contact info as a network develops around birth trauma. I'm also in touch with an OB/GYN in Italy who has done extensive water work with pregnant and post-partum women. He's delivered over 1500 babies in the water following pre-natal care which involves Watsu.
Nice to meet you Koa and have you as a friend! I'm new to this social network thing, so didn't know that everyone on the network was already connected to everyone else. I've appreciated your comments on the trauma site. Coincidentally, I gave a session to a doula/acupuncturist just the other day who wants to collaborate work with pregnant and post-traumatic birth women. She wants to create opportunities for her clients to get aquatic bodywork. When that gets going maybe we can share info and research data on our work with this population
Keo, I think large blown up digital photos will be useful...particularly those with upper body stretches for the breast cancer segment. Progression through your favorite basic movements should work for the lead. I have a video if that is helpful, or you could use Harold's video.
Get back to me if I may be of further use. thanks, mary

New understanding of PTSD and the aquatic work of members Diane Tegtmeier and Inika Spence, indicate the potential application of aquatic therapy in healing trauma. This Group has been created to explore and promote that.
This group could explore, discuss and learn from each other the many benefits of working in warm water with the approach that humans have potential to recognize the potential for movement and alignment in the physical, emotional and energetic body.
