How are you involved in aquatic therapy?
I began Watsu with Harold in 1996 as a student and then assistant. Also studied with Jahara, and Alexander G.Waterdance with Minakshi and Shantam/Richard.Went to east Germany in 2000 and played at Bad Sulza, dreaming in sacred waters at the Toscana Therm and experienced the Liquid Sound Temple a creation of Micky Reimann.I created Waterjourneys as a result of these experiences.Sara Firman came into my life and we experimented together and found some deep levels of concious connection,a spiritual aspect that I believe Harold was digging into, but abandoned in favour of more formal recognition.Which of course is invaluable. So Sara and I created a space in the Ozark Forest where we use the natural frequncy(vibational) of nature to tune our guests and then Sauna, cold plunge,hot(110o)tub to cleanse. The Waterjourney is part of this overall therapy, with liquid sound(underwater speaker) and we have documented amazing results. This is not your typical (aquatic therapy) but all the same, the level of emotional, phycological healing that has happened has insired us.

A new World.

I have been wondering where the future is leading,it seems to fluctuate like day and night but there have been clues.I feel that there is a ground swell of new conciousness,an awareness that as humans we need to change the way we have been treating this miracle of a planet. It feels like we are seeing with new eyes the destruction that is being caused by our need to consume in ways that are not sustainable.Talking to the youth,I find that many are on the path and are already dreaming up ways to c… Continue

Hot and Cold

It began as a therapy I discovered at Harbin Hot Springs, and in the 10 years of revisiting for Watsu and other trainings and assisting found there was an amazing benefit to this getting into the hot and then going to the cold. Now,here at Waterjourneys,in the forest without distraction I have been trying it out on clients. For myself,I found that the hot limit is 118 degees, but careful meditation and sliding in gracefully and then once submerged to the neck, keeping absolutly still makes it all pos… Continue

Dry or Wet

The crisp grass feels like it is breaking under my feet. The leaves are curled and falling, the heat is intense and dry, everything seems to be hanging on,barely. The cry for moisture is audible in the silence, the unslaked thirst choking the landscape day by day,it has changed from green to brown. The lush look of yesterday replaced by the dry look of death tomorrow,if we dont get rain.............It comes, green shoots sprout out of the brown within hours it seems.Leaves unfurl to be washed clean and… Continue

the continum

My first week alone at Waterjourneys, sans Sara began with some stress.Flow, I told myself it will be fine.A pastor had booked in for 5 days.I shopped for the menus I had prepared, but then just grabbed what felt right in the moment, flow I told myself. She arrived, full of trepidation about hanging out with a single guy out in the woods in the Ozarks.I complimented her on her courage and made a cup of tea.Well needless to say wonderful conversation ensued and we retired fully relieved. As the week we… Continue

dreaming in sacred water

Every time I have entered the pool I felt like I was coming home, the water supported me and wrapped me up,I was almost weightless. After thousands of sessions over 11 years,I still am amazed that each session has its own special moment when magic happens. In that pristine world of twinkling light, there are no boundaries all is connected with itself. It seems the water in everything recognises that, and is joyful, for me it is the moment of healing,a moment of faith, knowing that the universe is benevo… Continue

yikes.

Thanks for responding. The more I read of your blog, the more goosebumps I get. I agree with Andrea - you are peotic. It truely comes from the depths of you. And I agree, too, with you - "everytime I have entered the pool, I feel like I was comming home."

Thanks. <> That's my attempt at making a water drop.
