Dear Jennifer,
I had the same problem in Italy when I was looking for a warm and silent pool for my beloved Watsu... you don't specify what you want to do in the rented pool, but I can imagine that you are driven by a similar passion and the general…
I used EFT on myself outside water a few years ago to "clean" my memories from unpleasant feelings and emotions.
I think it is a weird technique, so I tried it with skepticism, but I have to say that for me it worked great, and I'm not surprised to…
I'm a Watsu student and I will always be a student even after ten thousand hours of classes... I think that I will never consider myself as an "aquatic therapist", but I'm learning so many things about water, body, emotions.... and I believe that sharing them with others will definitely enrich and enlighten both my life and theirs
Your discipline or title (PT, OT, CTRS, ATC, SLP, Watsu practitioner, adapted aquatics instructor, whatever!)
Watsu student... with something else that comes from other experiences I had in the past and something more that I will add in the future... once you've started being curious about life you can't stop learning anymore!
Location (city, state, country)
Breganze - Italy
What temperature, depth(s) and approx dimensions is your therapy pool (if you have one):
I share Watsu in the pool of Areafitness A.S.D., in Vicenza, where I organize students meetings.
The pool is 5x10 mt wide, 1,10 mt high, the temperature is 35 °C (available on request for small groups only, 5 to 20 people)
Welcome Samuele - I very much agree with your emphasis on 'student'. Please do invite your Italian colleagues to join us. You can also create a regional group here if you like. Sulis (Moderator)
I have known of persons who sponsored and taught caregivers and those being given care to share Watsu(R)
It provides a sense of sharing and giving back for the caregiver to receive....
Other thought: to provide another opportunity nearby for the car…
This group is for discussions about the practice and promotion of aquatic bodywork in spas, other leisure settings, and private venues. A place to share some of the issues faced and support each other.
For pediatric aquatic therapists/instructors who work with children on the autism spectrum. We will be sharing our coolest treatment ideas and creating a mock protocol for the infant, toddler, and school aged child demonstrating autism traits.
