I have known of persons who sponsored and taught caregivers and those being given care to share Watsu(R)
It provides a sense of sharing and giving back for the caregiver to receive....
Other thought: to provide another opportunity nearby for the car…
This group is for discussions about the practice and promotion of aquatic bodywork in spas, other leisure settings, and private venues. A place to share some of the issues faced and support each other.
This is one of those opportunities when one can be sooooo inclusive that it is too much...or like the resume' story....if you don't list it and tell them, they will never know.
What do you think?
I am happy you included water play because I believe aquatic therapy and exercise are so very important in the pediatric realm.....
Perhaps freedom of movement in relationship to older adult activity or for those with musculo skeletal and rheumatic…
Goal: to collect info. re: quality of life issues for above groups....research based or anecdotal. Intent: to educate and assist with diverse ideas such as aquatic therapy in media presentation etc.
This is a slow go up here - perhaps it's the cold weather? I will forward the information to The Waters, where I recieved my training. I am recipient number 40 that has taken the course.
Will your arthritis CEC be available on line? That one would be great as well.
DDD - Degenerative Disc Disease is a big one here right now. As therapists, we are aware that this is a natural process to some degree. Many folk in their 40's, 50's + have accepted this as their story. All things back would be wonderful to advertise as having specific training in.

Thank you Mary! The Breast Cancer & Fibromyalgia WaterWork courses have just been approved by the Continuing Education unit of our association. I look forward to taking them on line.
Hi Mary,
I attended one of your Aquatic Safety classes and am looking for an answer to a question. How many days after a person has had diarreaha should they wait to return to the pool? I searched the CDC website and I could not find a specific time frame.
Hi Mary,,,good to hear from you, you probably don't remember me, as it has been sometime since Tena Patterson and I helped out with some of your classes at one of the Aquatic Seminars. Hope all is well.

I have not done poster sessions at NIH....but I have done lots of presentations...
You have opportunity to use the latest in digital programming and that is a plus.
I'm sure it will turn out well. Do you know who else is doing poster sessions? Might be fun to try to find out?
I think the fact that you will be on hand to answer questions is a great big plus....
Mary,
I intend to bring the Watsu 1 DVD and show the 'Intro' as a continuous loop. The idea to 'bookmark' the DVD so I know where to skip to to show actual live shoulder girdle stretches is a great one, thanks. Kinko'c will help me with the digital pics...and as soon as I have a visual example I can forward I will. Have you everdone anything like this? Just curioius! With lessings and appreciation,
Keo

For pediatric aquatic therapists/instructors who work with children on the autism spectrum. We will be sharing our coolest treatment ideas and creating a mock protocol for the infant, toddler, and school aged child demonstrating autism traits.
