Beautiful connection! I work with my 14 year old Rottweiler. He has no space in his hip joints so the warm water is his friend. Interesting how animals know what is good for them and if we create a safe space they give themselves to it.

I'm delighted you joined us Kendall. The article about your work and your use of Watsu (one of my own modalities in humans) was inspiring to me. Children (and it seems animals) have sometimes been considered unsuitable for this kind of floating but those of us who have been prepared to experiment can usually report differently! The most suprising to me was working with two teenage boys from a rural community who had never even seen or heard of the work, dropped quickly into 'trance', and just didn't want it to stop. But I haven't had the opportunity to work with animals and I believe that, as any close nurturing contact with them often does, this might help heal the separation some feel from the emotional life we truly do share with our fellow creatures. My much beloved cat loves water but not immersion in it sadly! If you feel inspired to blog here about some of your experiences, I'd love to learn more. Welcome again, Sulis
I have known of persons who sponsored and taught caregivers and those being given care to share Watsu(R)
