Aqua News: Trauma Healing in the Water and Schedules

AquaNews from Inika and Diane October, 2008

In this issue:

Dear Readers

Introduction to Trauma Healing in Water

Our Teaching Schedules

Dear Readers:

Diane's musings: Autumn is shining its golden light on Harbin Hot Springs, and we've even had a fine drizzle of rain. Temperatures are dropping from the searing 100s to the balmy 70s (degrees Fahrenheit) and even the flies and hornets are slowing down as the Earth comes into balance of light and dark at the… Continue

Inika! I'm so thrilled you have joined. Your passion, knowledge, and experience are so welcome.

I was just about to invite you to join Aquatic Bodyworkers Group and you beat me to it by a minute or two.

This week I'll be sending out an invite to more Watsu folk. Please feel free to invite others you think might be interested too.

I am working to help Andrea get some good dialog going and of course it all depends on participation.

I'm also very glad there is this opportunity for clinical and non-clinical practitioners to share. S

Hello and thanks!

Claudia Salzmann in Ontario Canada, The Waters in Niagra-on-the-Lake

www.thewaters.ca

She has studied Watsu & Jahara, then adapted what she learned so that it could fit into the scope of practice for massage therapy. She is quite a pioneer, I am truely grateful for what she has done, and her approach. ( She opted not to trademake, instead giving it over to the higher good! ! ! )

I have worked with adults so far, not yet trying the craniosacral work in there.

Thanks for the reply! Looking forward to chatting more!

More information on The Waters qualification appears on this page. It applies only to people practicing in Ontario, Canada and it does enable insurance coverage. It says it is based on Watsu and Jahara but significantly different in ways mentioned but not easily defined I think. Interesting to know about.
