Hi Mary, I work as a physical therapist assistant at an outpatient center in a near-by town. I'm the aquatic director for them at the local YMCA pool. But as you probably know, most local Y pools are not 95 degrees. So I'm building my own pool here in Dresden and will offer Watsu thru my association with the PT practice as well as with private clients. Basically that's it in a nut shell.
I have operated an outdoor Watsu pool summers only, for the last three years and that has helped spread the word and build up enough momentum to go for the big indoor pool building.
I'll let you know how it all works out when I finally finish building this summer and open my doors!
I have known of persons who sponsored and taught caregivers and those being given care to share Watsu(R)
It provides a sense of sharing and giving back for the caregiver to receive....
Other thought: to provide another opportunity nearby for the car…
This group is for discussions about the practice and promotion of aquatic bodywork in spas, other leisure settings, and private venues. A place to share some of the issues faced and support each other.
For pediatric aquatic therapists/instructors who work with children on the autism spectrum. We will be sharing our coolest treatment ideas and creating a mock protocol for the infant, toddler, and school aged child demonstrating autism traits.

I am near you, well sort of! New Brunswick. I am near the border of Houlten/Woodstock. Dresden looks rural. How did you build up clientele?
