Okay! Can we talk about what the BASICS are for an entry level clinician working with people in the water? The background of Rehab professionals that perform aquatic therapy in the water quite varied and inconsistant.
I'm a clinical instructor with a need to teach the student PTA's(or PT's if they are so inclined) basic skills in the water. Does anyone have a list? (I do, and I'll share it if someone's interested).

I will be writing a posting in early December based around what I hope will be an interesting mix of submissions (quite a few in already).
I'll also make sure I alert this network to that 'carnival' post when it is online (on my weblog).
Hopefully this will happen several times a year so you can watch that space and see if you'd like to join in at some point.
You can also comment on the carnival posting when it comes out. Thanks for all your input here.

I see from patients from the deck as well, I don't ever chart (anymore) if I'm in the pool. I think it's really your call if the person is needing hands on or close supervision. For higher level people, in my case- in a SwimEx -there is little room for me if I'm in there and there's alot of movement. If you prefer to treat in the pool, you may consider a check list type note that is super fast to fill out. Do you treat more than one person per hour? Let me know if you need examples of checktype notes!
