I have a full time practice offering Aquatic Bodywork and Hellerwork Structural Integration. In the water I use mainly watsu, healing dance, water dance and aquatic integration. I work from a local therapy pool, with around 80% of my clients having some disability or condition restricting movement. I also teach watsu basics, one and two classes and help organize events and watsu happenings around nz. I love the water, the rythym and flow and freedom and the gift of 'being with' /meeting another in the way water allows.

Those photos with Cody are wonderful Carolyn - his delight (and yours) so visible! Thanks for adding descriptions. Perhaps you would like to make them into an album - just click on the photo tab and follow the instructions there. You can then write more about that album on your own blog or in the Healing Dance Group if you like. I'm so happy to see discussions rippling out now! Sulis
So glad you overcame your techno fears Carolyn (we've all been there).
Your recent posting to the Healing Dancers discussion was wonderful ... just the kind of discussion we are wanting to inspire here. You've rounded out Lana's story. Thanks so much for sharing your aquatic healing skills.
PS I'm posting tips on the Forum about finding your way around the tech side of this network - when you have time you might find that helpful too.
Welcome Carolyn. I'm doing a presentation on Aquatic Body Work in a swimming coaches and teachers conference and I need good photos for the power point. Can you help?
I have known of persons who sponsored and taught caregivers and those being given care to share Watsu(R)
It provides a sense of sharing and giving back for the caregiver to receive....

This group is for discussions about the practice and promotion of aquatic bodywork in spas, other leisure settings, and private venues. A place to share some of the issues faced and support each other.
For pediatric aquatic therapists/instructors who work with children on the autism spectrum. We will be sharing our coolest treatment ideas and creating a mock protocol for the infant, toddler, and school aged child demonstrating autism traits.
