Beautiful connection! I work with my 14 year old Rottweiler. He has no space in his hip joints so the warm water is his friend. Interesting how animals know what is good for them and if we create a safe space they give themselves to it.

This “how-to” seminar will put your body in the pool for 3 days of advanced skill acquisition. Why sit through another lecture on fluid mechanics or the unique properties of water? You’ve been practicing in the water for years. Instead, learn adva...
I have been a Watsu Practitioner since 1996, employed @ Canyon Ranch Resorts for over 10 years. I have assisted several Watsu classes and tutored other therapists. Leaving Canyon Ranch in 2007 to more actively pursue my endeavors in the private sector, I have established an active private therapy and teaching practice. I also teach Aquatic Massage for The Providence Institute, a bodytherapy studio and school for massage, yoga and personal training. Most recently, I have become a Certified Aquatic Massage Instructor under Elaine Marie who has been my working mentor for over 12 years. I love to travel and teach this work. I am also a personal trainer and love to train in the water. Additionally, while @ Canyon Ranch I provided to clients, and helped to develop, their 'Facing Water Fears' and 'Aquatic Meditation Practice' programs.
I have also studied Jahara Technique with Mario Jahara, and Cameron West, and Healing Dance with Inika Sati-Spence.
Your discipline or title (PT, OT, CTRS, ATC, SLP, Watsu practitioner, adapted aquatics instructor, whatever!)
How about starting an Aquatic Massage Group here Andrianne - as Inika has done for Healing Dance? Just click on the Groups tab above and follow the instructions. Then you can invite the people you know to join! Thanks for your energy here. Warmly, Sulis

Adrianne,
Thanks for your information on the class in Atlanta. I would love to meet you when you come to Birmingham. I am checking my teaching schedule and if time permits would love to attend your class.
Sheila
Thank you for posting your events Adrianne - I have featured them on the main page of the network also. Lovely photos also. I'm wondering if you would like to write a short article or blog posting about Elaine Marie and her contribution to the work?
No apologies please ... I know exactly what you mean by taking a breath and diving in. My own websites come out of that same 'risk'. Oh, and I love what you have done with your profile page too. Creativity is something I associate absolutely with the watery realm.
Thanks for your message. I would love to make contact with you and am interested in your aquatic massage classes. I am currently training with Cameron West in Aquatic Integration and loving every minute of that work.
Sheila
A warm and watery welcome to you Adrianne! Beautiful website too. I notice you are going to add a blog and invite you to consider taking part in the aquatic therapy blog carnival I am organizing. Enjoy exploring this network and contributing your knowledge. Sulis

New understanding of PTSD and the aquatic work of members Diane Tegtmeier and Inika Spence, indicate the potential application of aquatic therapy in healing trauma. This Group has been created to explore and promote that.
This group could explore, discuss and learn from each other the many benefits of working in warm water with the approach that humans have potential to recognize the potential for movement and alignment in the physical, emotional and energetic body.
