Thought I'd just share this from the ATRI e-list as it is a bit of basic understanding to start a consideration of pool treatments with ... unless a pool is private it will have to comply with state requirements (in the US) which currently usually (always?) means some chlorine.
There is no such thing as a non-chlorine (non-bromine) commercial pool. So called salt water pools – or saline pools – simply generate their own chlorine on site. They still have the same amount of chlorine as a regular pool. Ultra Violet light is a sanitizer but the pool still has to maintain the minimum amount of chlorine according to state codes. The same with Ozone.
