In the countries where is Training Institute (e.g. Italy, Poland, France, The Netherlands) all papers you can send to local Training Institute.

There is application fee of 50 USD paid to WABA
The renewal fee is also 50 USD, but I am not sure if it is for 2 years. I think it is every year fee. We have to check it with WABA.

I can help those that wanto complete these requirements
For Watsu Provider Status each person needs to send a scan or fax WABA the 2 application forms( download off the site...www.waba.edu) from the WABA logbook and Spa Provider Contract ( which is signed by the SPa. They will also need to make a credit card payment directly to WABA ( 50 USD per person for 2 years).

I can check all their requirements and forms that they completed
Watsu 1 and 2
Received 10 sessions (they will have till applying for Practitioner status to complete)
Gave 20 sessions
Completed Mastery of Watsu 2.
Within 1 year they will need to complete Watsu 3, within 2 years they will do another WABA Water elective 50 hour Module.
Fax or scanned and email the forms
1 Watsu Provider Fulfillment agreement
2.Application for Placement on the WABA registry as Watsu Provider or practitioner
to pavana2008@waba.edu or fax 1 707 317 0052

I am happy to be in this group. I can see greath potential of application of Watsu in SPAs, in fact Watsu is an essence of SPA idea.
Water, relax, one-on-one holistic treatment.
In Poland we made some efforts to promote Watsu in SPAs: press articles, SPA Expos presentations with portable pool, presentations of Watsu in selected SPAs.
The effect is the 3 first SPAs added Watsu to its treatment lists.
There was two ways: two first SPAs therapists was trained by us and becone Watsu Providers in their SPA and in third SPA we gave certified Practitioners for working there.
What is your experience in promoting and using Watsu in SPAs?

Greetings Sulis, After a prolonged time I returned to the water. This is my world and where I come from. Turkey is the first at source of thermal water and will be one of the first region at SPAs in Europe. However most of the hotels and spas don't know the Aquatic Bodywork adequate. We are going to present watsu and other aquatic body work in some facilitation for example in some Spa, Rehabilitation Center, Hotel, Thermal Hotel etc. in July 2009. Is there any specific suggestion for us? Thanks

Thanks Emily and Cathy for your comments. I'm going to create two new discussions out of them: 1. Job openings in the 'leisure' sector for aquatic bodywork; 2. Promoting aquatic bodywork to the community. Discussions are easier places to follow the 'thread' of the information shared. Thanks again for participating!

Sulis, I would like to know how you promoted Watsu and aquatic bodywork to the community. Or was it simply a function of showing up for the spa guests, most of whom do not live in the spa area.

This group is a great idea. I am an 18 year Massage Therapist, Empath and CWP. I'd like to travel and work somewhere as a CWP, private sector, spas,Leisure resorts...I'm easy as to being flexible with schedules. I understand the service industry well (I have been Chef and Massage Therpaist aboard three celebrity megayachts). I was called to Watsu and want to share it's Grace and Depth outside my small town now. Does anyone have a lead or two for me? Suggestions on how to get hired ASAP? Thank you humbly.

I'd like to introduce myself as Group creator, to give you some idea of my background and interest.

Having been manager of the spa at a 5-star hotel in England (where I was first able to practice Watsu) and the manager-owner of a private spa-retreat (focused on aquatic bodywork); and having worked in and visited spas of all kinds; I have lots of thoughts on this subject.

This seems a very good opportunity to share with a community of others who have perhaps faced similar issues.
