You might think of forming a specific Group concerned with:

* a condition that responds to Watsu-based techniques


* a particular aquatic bodywork modality
(e.g. Watsu, WaterDance, Healing Dance, Jahara Technique, Prenatal Journey)

* aquatic equipment for Watsu
(e.g. flotation devices)

* settings for Watsu
(e.g. private venues, clinics, public pools, spas)

* a region of aquatic bodywork practitioners
(e.g. Asia, Europe, Canada, US)

* aquatic issues of interest to aquatic bodywork practitioners
(e.g. ethics,self-care, energy work)

Hello

Just wanted to say how excited I am to see the growing number of 'non-clinical' aquatic bodyworkers joining this network.

I'm just about to invite more Watsu-trained folk officially and encourage you all to do the same with your own friends and contacts - just use the Invite tab above.

Meanwhile, please see my recent posting re Groups - some of these could be applied specifically to Watsu. There is scope for more Discussion topics here in Cameron's Group or for other Groups to form too. I welcome your thoughts and ideas. Sulis

At an introduction to a session,through a few words shared about intent, reflecting their concerns, needs, encouraging surrender to this experience and inviting to share space with another. Taking time to invoke other powers to be with us,helps to empty me of performance expectations and focus on connection with the moment at hand. Having water as a medium, enhances the sympathetic resonance created with connection. Attuned space with another is reassuring on a subconscious level, overriding our learned response to human interaction. As the vibrational frequencies become closer, a deeper healing is achieved through more willingness to surrender. Fluidity in motion and breath reinforces this connection. These are the moments that all that hard work and training prove to me that I am living in right livelyhood. Yes the abandonment of self.

I'm especially interested in your reference to movement at all those levels - physical, emotional, energetic.

Actually, water blurs the boundaries between all these.

Like Ralph, I've found that the intention or openness of the giver seems to be important in giving the receiver permission to experience that.

I think it would be helpful to put together some 'case studies' as this is makes discussion less abstract.
